Her dying wish was for annual funeral games to be held at her burial site in her memory (her burial mound in the Plain of Mag Tailtiu). Her Son Lugh fashioned a harvest assembly (the Áenach Tailteann) in her honor. This is the origin of the "First Fruits" harvest festival or Lughnasa.
